Save the Date & Call for Abstracts: Sheffield Young Person and Healthcare Transition Conference

The Sheffield Young Person and Healthcare Transition Conference “Digital Healthcare in the 21st Century” will take place in-person and online on Tuesday 6th October 2026.

This conference bring together professionals from a variety of areas to examine the role of digital solutions in the NHS and gain key insights to help improve support for young people in healthcare including transitions. During the day we will have a mixture of keynote speaker talks and a showcase of practical, bite-sized innovations driving real change for young people to share and inspire.

The event will be hosted by Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS FT, and the NIHR HRC in Paediatrics and Child Health and will take place at Sheffield Children’s National Centre for Child Health Technology.

Call for abstracts open now

Submissions are welcome for an online poster session focussing on innovation and digital technology transforming young people’s healthcare. We are interested in research and service improvement projects from all sectors that improve and support young people’s healthcare and transition.

The deadline for submission is 10th July 2025 at 5pm. 

Authors will be notified of outcomes mid-August and will be expected to send their posters to the organisers by 18th September.

Successful posters will be presented digitally via Padlet during the poster session. Delegates will be able to access posters on the day of the conference and one day prior to get the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the innovative work presented. An abstract booklet will be sent to all conference delegates ahead of the conference.
