Paediatric Health Innovation Sprint 2025

Earlier this year, we were delighted to collaborate with HealthTech Enterprise to host a Paediatric Health Innovation Sprint as part of our Mind & Body Integration research theme within the NIHR HRC in Paediatrics and Child Health.
The goal of this workshop was to encourage and support the development of paediatric med tech innovations for children and young people by creating a space for innovators to connect with industry experts.
After a competitive selection process, 6 innovators were selected to join us for a one-day event where they could pitch their idea to stakeholders with expertise that spanned the entire innovation pipeline, and refine their innovations. With input from experienced regulatory and IP consultants, product developers, commercial strategists, health economists, and more, our innovators were able to equip themselves with the expertise needed to move their projects forward.
The event was a fantastic success, and it was great to see how the innovators worked with the experts in attendance to adapt and refine their innovation journey. The discussions and activities of the day were instrumental in helping the innovators understand the strengths and limitations of their current approach and identify the areas that needed to adapt to suit the funding landscape, market, and routes to commercialisation and adoption.
What did the delegates think?
We were delighted to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback from our delegates and understand more about their experience during the day.
When asked what they found most useful about the day, delegates said:

Following the success of the event and the impact it had on delegates, we’re pleased to share that there are plans to host another Paediatric Health Innovation Sprint in 2026 (date and venue TBC).
