Medipex NHS Innovation Awards & Showcase 2026 Call for Entries Extended Deadline

The deadline to submit an entry for this year’s Medipex NHS Innovation Awards & Showcase 2026 has been extended until Tuesday 14th April.
The Medipex NHS Innovation Awards & Showcase 2026 is an opportunity to acknowledge and promote the achievements of NHS staff members and their collaborators who have developed innovative ideas to improve patient care across the NHS. The competition is open for NHS-led innovation and Industry-led entries from across the UK.
The Awards event is a calendar highlight each year and is an occasion to celebrate the incredible people working in the NHS who go above and beyond. The Awards celebrate those who take the initiative to identify what can be improved in patient care and what we can do to achieve this, to showcase all their hard work, and to say ‘we see you and what you are working to achieve’. Finalists and winners are an inspiration to others to have the confidence to make a difference as well.
The NIHR HRC in Paediatrics and Child Health team is pleased to once again support this event and we are excited for another engaging and successful showcase. Our team looks forward to hosting an interactive breakout session where we will explore the ‘Barriers and Challenges in Paediatric HealthTech’.
Call for Entries
The deadline to submit entries has been extended until Tuesday 14th April and submissions will be accepted into the following five categories.
NHS-led categories:

- Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve patient outcomes
- Improved treatments, therapies, and rehabilitation
- Delivering benefits through diagnosis and screening
- Process and systems innovations
New to this year, the 5th category is Industry-led: “Addressing patient safety challenges”. Entries must be led by an SME who can demonstrate some engagement with an NHS or social care organisation, and address an unmet patient safety need.
For NHS -led categories, entrants have the opportunity to submit a video as part of their application form, outlining the problem that they are trying to solve and the proposed benefits, as an alternative to the standard entry form.
The Call for Entries now closes on Tuesday 14th April.
Registration Now Open
Registration for the Medipex NHS Innovation Awards & Showcase event is open and will be held online on Wednesday 24th June.
