Inclusive Patient Involvement: Methodological Framework
Inclusive Patient Involvement: Methodological Framework
Programme Overview
Our Inclusive Patient Involvement: Methodological Framework Programme aims to create and share new ways of conducting and assessing engagement with children, young people, and families involved in the development of health technologies.
The programme includes:
Building and testing new tools within a novel methodological framework, to make sure we deliver meaningful patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) across all our projects.
Creating new ways to help our project teams reach out to and include people who are often left out or overlooked.
Developing robust online systems that keep track of how children, young people, and families are involved in our projects, with a focus on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Creating an impact assessment framework to demonstrate how involving patients and the public makes health technologies better.
Creating a training programme to show public and private sector partners how to effectively involve children, young people, and families in health technology development.
Developing systems that allow children and young people to self-reflect on their involvement in projects that develop health technologies.
Ensuring that methodologies and frameworks are shared across our local team and national NIHR organisations.
