Before becoming the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre (HRC) in Paediatrics and Child Health, the team were previously part of the NIHR MedTech and In Vitro Diagnostics Co-operatives (MIC) scheme. Formerly known as NIHR Children and Young People MedTech Co-operative (NIHR CYP MedTech), this team has been a pivotal organisation in transforming the healthcare of children and young people living with long-term conditions and their families. By supporting the development of healthcare technology through cross-sector collaboration, NIHR CYP MedTech has helped to transform paediatric healthcare in the UK.
