Moving On Asthma Recognised as a ‘Trusted Information Centre’ by Patient Information Forum
Thursday 02 April 2026
We’re pleased to share that Moving On Asthma, the video-based, educational resource for young people, has been recognised as a ‘trusted information creator’ and awarded PIF TICK certification, the UK’s only assessment quality mark for print and online health and care information.
Moving on Asthma is a resource for young people living with asthma which helps them develop the skills and confidence to self-manage their condition and access healthcare independently.
It’s crucial for young people to have access to digital health tools that are safe and reliable. Moving on Asthma has been designated as a ‘trusted information creator’ by the Patient Information Forum (PIF), a membership organisation that promotes access to trusted, evidence-based health information for patients, carers, the public and healthcare professionals.
To achieve PIF TICK certification, Moving on Asthma went through a rigorous assessment to demonstrate that it meets 10 key criteria. The assessment ensures that the content young people read, watch, and listen to via this platform is evidence-based, up-to-date, and easy to use and understand.
“Gaining the PIF TICK shows we have a strong process for developing our health information resources. With so much information online it can be difficult to know what to trust. This quality mark is a quick and easy way for people to be assured our information is reliable and trustworthy.”

What is PIF TICK certification?
The PIF TICK helps everyone identify trusted, evidence-based and accessible health information.
The PIF is the independent voice of quality health information. To achieve PIF TICK certification, creators must prove they meet 10 key criteria and undergo a robust, independent annual assessment. The criteria were developed in consultation with PIF’s 1,000-strong membership, representing 300 cross-sector organisations and individuals. They are reviewed and updated every two years in collaboration with an expert steering group.
Dan Wills, PIF Quality Manager, said:
“We are thrilled to welcome Moving On Asthma to our ever-growing community of certified PIF TICK members. Accurate, accessible, evidence-based information is key to increasing patient empowerment and improving health outcomes.”
