SUMMARY:A decade of research in public and community engagement 2014 – 2024
DESCRIPTION:Webinar on key findings from NCCPE literature review \nIn this webinar\, we will share key findings from the NCCPE’s literature review undertaken as part of the Scaling Pan-UKRI Approaches to Public Engagement in Research project. The review draws together a decade of research on public and community engagement and was commissioned by UKRI through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Creative Communities programme led from Northumbria University. Dr Ann Grand (Research Fellow and Policy Analyst\, NCCPE) and Dr Steve Scott (Public Engagement Lead\, UKRI) will lead the webinar. \nThe webinar invites your reflections on what this evidence tells us about engagement’s value\, limits and future direction. We will explore how engagement can strengthen research quality\, legitimacy and social value\, while asking why persistent barriers remain. The webinar will reflect on how engagement is a plural practice\, shaped by different traditions\, purposes and assumptions about how knowledge is produced and shared. It will also look at the growing cast of characters who hold engagement together: researchers\, engagement professionals\, intermediaries\, the public and communities. The webinar will ask whose knowledge and roles are valued\, where systems fall short and what relational infrastructures are needed for inclusive\, ethical and sustainable engagement.

SUMMARY:Early evidence and HTA: Building the evidence strategy for NHS adoption
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is part of a three-part series from Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley. \nMany innovations fail even though the technology works well. They fail because the evidence behind them answers the wrong questions. \nThe NHS asks about clinical need\, service pressure and cost. If your evidence was designed for investors or regulators alone\, it may not answer any of those. \nEarly evidence helps you find that gap before you spend heavily on the wrong study. It gives you direction. It shows you when to push on\, when to change course\, and when to stop.

SUMMARY:Building the early economic case for NHS decision-making
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is part of a three-part series from Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley. \nStrong clinical evidence rarely wins funding on its own. NHS decision-makers need to see what your innovation costs\, what it saves and what it changes. \nThat case has to be credible. It also has to arrive early enough to shape your development\, rather than late enough to only describe it. \nThis session shows you how to build an economic case that NHS buyers trust\, and how to avoid the mistakes that sink good products.

SUMMARY:From evidence to adoption: Building adoption-ready evidence
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is part of a three-part series from Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley. \nNHS organisations need to know they can put your innovation into practice. Is it affordable? Will it scale? Will it deliver in a busy service\, not just in a study? \nThis session covers the evidence that answers those questions\, and how to fund the work that produces it.
